Here, we practiced a feeling of taking the initiative early (sen no sen) by stepping in with the counter attack as the attack was coming, as opposed to taking the initiative later (go no sen) by stepping back, blocking, and then counter attacking.

John, Jeff, and Marty spent the evening practicing combination basics and doing some free sparring drills to help prepare for the upcoming Memphis Jiyu Kumite Practice and Tournament.
